Marineide Pina is an HCPC Registered Clinical and Educational Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience across NHS services, local authorities, schools, private practice and wider psychological services. She has worked in the UK, Brazil and Italy, supporting children, young people, adults and families with a broad range of emotional, behavioural, developmental and mental health needs.
She is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Her work combines clinical psychology, educational psychology and therapeutic practice, allowing her to understand each person’s needs across home, school, family and wider social contexts.
Marineide has particular expertise in autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, school attendance difficulties and neurodevelopmental assessment. She provides psychological assessment, therapeutic intervention, consultation and multidisciplinary support, with a strong focus on clear formulation and practical recommendations.
Her approach is evidence-based, compassionate and person-centred. She works collaboratively with individuals and families to understand each person’s strengths, difficulties and wider context, helping to identify meaningful next steps and support positive change.
Marineide holds postgraduate qualifications in Developmental Neuropsychology and Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health. She also has specialist training in autism assessment, including ADOS-2 and ADI-R, and is trained in dyslexia and dyspraxia assessments.
Alongside her clinical work, Marineide has experience as a university lecturer, educational psychologist, psychotherapist and consultant. She is passionate about helping individuals recognise their strengths, overcome barriers to wellbeing, and access support that is thoughtful, culturally sensitive and tailored to their needs.
