Dr Suzana Alexandra Corciova is a highly experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, bringing over a decade of specialist expertise in supporting children, adolescents and their families, working across both the NHS and private healthcare settings.
She is known for her compassionate, thoughtful and patient‑centred approach, combining warmth with rigorous, evidence‑based clinical practice.
Dr Corciova works with a clear focus on understanding each young person within their wider developmental, family and educational context. This holistic perspective allows her to develop nuanced clinical formulations and tailored care plans that meet the complex needs of young people and their families.
Her approach is further informed by formal training in Ericksonian psychotherapy, supporting a formulation‑led and psychologically informed model of care that considers the individual beyond diagnosis alone.
She completed her medical training in Italy before undertaking specialist psychiatric training in London. She became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2016.
Dr Corciova has extensive experience assessing and treating a broad range of emotional and mental health difficulties in children and adolescents.
She has held a substantive Consultant post within a national specialist Eating Disorders service at the Royal Free Hospital in the NHS, where she contributed to clinical leadership, service development and clinical governance, alongside teaching and supervising junior doctors and medical students.
Her clinical focus centres on neurodevelopmental assessments, particularly ADHD and autism.
She has significant expertise in conducting comprehensive, high‑quality diagnostic assessments, integrating detailed developmental histories, clinical observation and multi‑informant reports to produce clear, individualised and clinically robust conclusions.

Dr Corciova is fluent in English, Italian and Romanian and has substantial experience working with individuals and families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
