Dr Robert Schapia Bio

Dr. Robert Schapira is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with over 30 years in clinical practice, specialising in adult ADHD and neurodiversity. He began treating adults with ADHD in the early 1990s and has since supported thousands of patients through accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment. His expertise also covers a broad range of mental health conditions, including autism, bipolar disorder, stress-related disorders, and psychological trauma. He completed his medical training at Charing Cross Hospital, followed by psychiatric training at the London Hospital and St Bartholomew’s. Dr. Schapira has held senior NHS consultant roles, including Clinical Director of Mental Health.

Known for his integrative and person-centred approach, Dr. Schapira develops personalised treatment plans that may combine medication with nutritional, hormonal, lifestyle, and environmental interventions. He recognises that ADHD affects the whole person and focuses on long-term health and well-being. He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the British Association of Psychopharmacology, and UKAAN, and has lectured widely on medical hypnosis and psychosomatic medicine. His aim is to work closely with patients to help them achieve lasting improvements in daily life.
