Dr Rajasekaran Sankar is a Consultant Psychiatrist that also works in the NHS. He completed his training as a psychiatrist in Charing Cross Psychiatry Rotation in West London.
Dr. Sankar has completed his MRCPsych – Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists. Dr Sankar has a MSc in Psychiatric Practice from Hertfordshire University, UK. Dr Sankar also has a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ireland.
He has worked as a consultant psychiatrist in the NHS in various subspecialities of Adult Psychiatry including Perinatal Community Mental health services, assessing and treating mental health problems during Pregnancy and Post-Partum period and assessing and treating adults with all common mental health problems, adult ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
He has significant experience in Private Practice ADHD assessments and Autism assessments.
Dr Sankar has significant skills in the use of medication to treat ADHD and other mental health symptoms and he discusses and integrates talking therapy treatment and occupational therapy treatment and social skills training with people who consult him to ensure the best chance of regaining one’s well-being and strength.
His approach is calm, person-centred, and practical. He uses evidence-based medication where appropriate, and integrates talking therapies, occupational therapy, and social interventions to help people rebuild day-to-day wellbeing and resilience.
