Dr Ratnayake is a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of Adult ADHD and complex mental health conditions affecting adults.
Dr Ratnayake works at a major independent mental health provider. She has over 15 years’ experience working within the NHS and independent mental health services in England and also in mental health settings in New Zealand.
Dr Ratnayake qualified with a medical degree from the University of Southampton. She completed her specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry within the North Central London training scheme. She obtained a post graduate certificate in Medical Leadership with Distinction in 2019 and has held senior leadership roles at both NHS and independent mental health organisations.
She is passionate about delivering evidence based patient centred care resulting in positive clinical outcomes and excellent patient experience. She has been nominated for awards that recognise clinicians committed to driving high standards.
In addition to her clinical work, she takes an active role in teaching and has been an educational and clinical supervisor to psychiatry trainees and has delivered training and supervision to medical students. She also has an interest in research and has been a part of different research activities which has led to publication.
