Dr Monika Badhan Bio

Dr Monika Badhan is a dual-certified Consultant Psychiatrist, holding certification with both the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She graduated from Hull York Medical School and completed her psychiatry training within the North Central London training scheme, gaining extensive experience across inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Before studying medicine, she achieved an Honours degree in Psychology with distinction from Western University, Canada.

Dr Badhan provides comprehensive adult ADHD assessments at ADHD Health Clinic, combining clinical accuracy with a calm, patient-centred approach. Alongside her work in ADHD, she conducts general psychiatric assessments and offers ongoing treatment and follow-up care for a wide range of adult mental health presentations, including mood and anxiety disorders, emotional dysregulation and stress-related difficulties. 

Within the NHS, Dr Badhan works in a busy inner-city Crisis Service in London, where she manages both emergency presentations and long-term psychiatric conditions. Her international training and experience across different healthcare systems have strengthened her ability to provide culturally sensitive and collaborative care to individuals from diverse backgrounds. She has also contributed to research on telemental health during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting her interest in the evolving role of digital psychiatry.

Passionate about the relationship between the arts and mental health, Dr Badhan serves as Communications Lead on the Executive Committee of the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Arts and Psychiatry Special Interest Group (ARTSIG). Her commitment to holistic care, academic excellence and patient collaboration underpins every aspect of her clinical practice.
