Dr Elizabeth Green Bio

Elizabeth is a psychiatrist with extensive and diverse experience. She started her career in the late 1990’s, initially on the physical health side working in emergency medicine. Elizabeth switched paths in 2008 to retrain in psychiatry, specialising in the child and adolescent field. She completed her consultant training in 2016.

Elizabeth has worked in an adolescent inpatient service, but predominantly in community CAMHS in teams around West and North Yorkshire. Her core role has been in the assessment and treatment of mental health conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD and psychosis. She has worked in different multidisciplinary teams in CAMHS, including eating disorders, crisis and looked-after children. She worked for the NHS until early 2025, when she transferred to working in the private sector.

Elizabeth has a passion for thinking outside the box and working to find solutions to more complex needs and with co-morbidities. She strives to be attentive to the needs of young people and their parents. Her lived experience of neurodiversity in her own family gives her additional compassion and understanding.

Elizabeth has been recognised by colleagues and clients for her down-to-earth personality and approach, whilst maintaining high standards of clinical care.
