Dr Metheniti is a Consultant Developmental Paediatrician with over 12 years’ experience working across acute and community paediatric services in Central London. She supports children and families through holistic developmental assessments, with a focus on understanding each child’s profile clearly and translating this into practical, early intervention and next-step recommendations.
She works with a wide range of neurodevelopmental presentations, including ADHD, autism, developmental delay, and Developmental Coordination Disorder (dyspraxia), as well as more complex disabilities and developmental syndromes. Her clinical approach combines a detailed developmental history with careful physical and neurological assessment, helping families feel guided and supported throughout the diagnostic process.
Dr Metheniti has experience in autism assessments using recognised tools (including ADOS and ADI-R) and undertakes a range of developmental assessments, which may include structured developmental profiling.
Alongside neurodevelopmental work, Dr Metheniti has specialist experience in safeguarding and care pathways for children who are looked after, as well as adoption and child protection medicals. She is on the GMC Specialist Register for Paediatrics with a subspecialty in Community Child Health, and works clinically within the NHS as a Consultant Paediatrician in community child health services.
