Dr Colonnelli is a CCT-qualified Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (GMC registered) with extensive experience across specialist CAMHS services in London.
She has a longstanding focus on neurodevelopmental psychiatry and has led clinical pathways supporting children and young people with ADHD and related needs. Her work involves thorough assessment, formulation, and evidence-based treatment planning, alongside close collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues and the wider network around the child (including school and other professionals where appropriate).
In senior clinical roles Dr Colonnelli is lead psychiatrist in CAMHS service in London, and has provided leadership and supervision within multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental teams, supporting consistent, high-quality clinical decision-making — including the management of more complex presentations, and cases where a child’s needs are not straightforward or require joined-up thinking across services.
She also brings experience working at the interface of mental health, education and local authority planning, ensuring that emotional wellbeing and mental health needs are properly considered for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Alongside neurodevelopmental work, Dr Colonnelli has worked with children and young people presenting with significant emotional and behavioural difficulties, including complex risk and safeguarding considerations, and she is experienced in collaborative, multi-agency working with families at the centre of care planning.
